Privacy

I'd like to open with a statement: I really do care about your data. Really. I do. This is the reason why I am self-hosting most of my stuff, including this instance of ghost.

What data is stored?

To run this publication, I need to store some data. And here is the reason why.

IP addresses

If you visit this publication, your IP-address will be stored in access- and error logs. Those logs rotate every day and during rotation, your IP address is being removed from those logs.

The reason why I need to keep your IP address for a day is just: It's for security purposes. I need to have a chance to determine if I just got a lot of legitimate traffic or if my site is under attack.

Email addresses

If you decide to subscribe to this site (thank you!), I obviously will need to store your email address to send you emails.

At any time, you are free to unsubscribe and in this case, your address will be deleted from the database.

What external tools are being used?

At the moment I am using a CDN to load fonts and syntax highlighting library. I am working on adapting the used ghost theme to self-host these assets.
